Services

What’s available, and how it works.

Individual therapy, adults

Weekly 45-minute sessions, virtual, in English or Spanish. Most of my work is open-ended and depth-oriented, though I also do shorter, focused work when that’s what’s called for.

Children and adolescents

Ages 5 through 17, working with the young person and with their parents alongside them. A child’s treatment that doesn’t involve the family is working with one hand tied.

Couples and family therapy

Including emotionally focused couples therapy and mentalization-based work, in which I trained at the Manhattan VA and at Montefiore, where I co-led mentalization-based parenting groups.

ADHD diagnostic screening

Diagnostic screening for ADHD in children, adolescents, and adults, with a written summary you can take to a school, a workplace, or a prescriber.

Medication consultation & coordination

I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychopharmacology. I don’t prescribe in New York, but I can help you understand what you’ve been prescribed and work directly with your prescriber.

Clinical supervision & consultation

For trainees, early-career clinicians, and practices. I direct a psychotherapy training program in New York and supervise across disciplines.

Fees & insurance

Private pay, with out-of-network reimbursement.

I don’t bill insurance directly. That’s deliberate: your treatment is determined by clinical judgment and your goals rather than by what a utilization reviewer will authorize, and no diagnosis of yours sits in an insurer’s file to justify continued care.

Most clients with out-of-network benefits get reimbursed. I provide a monthly superbill — an itemized receipt formatted for insurance — that you submit to your plan.

A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available based on financial need. If cost is what stands between you and treatment, say so on the consultation call. It isn’t an awkward conversation for me.

Good Faith Estimate. Under the No Surprises Act you’re entitled to a written estimate of the expected cost of your care before you begin. I provide one to every client.
